Calderglen Country Park

This park is great for a day out. There are lots of little walks and trails available for various lengths and leaflets on these are available from the Visitor Centre. The park also has a large play area as well as a barbeque pit. A small cafe with indoor and outdoor seating areas is also nearby.
Best of all is the conservatory with tropical plants and animals and the Children's Zoo with animals such as meerkats, various birds, wallabies etc.

Visitor CentreOpening Hours: Summer (April to September) Monday to Friday 10.30am - 5pm. Weekends and public holidays 10.30am -5.30pm. Winter (October to March) daily 11am - 4pm.
Admission free for the park, £1 for the animal bit
